Shane Swezey has worked in education for the past ten years, primarily serving students with special needs in Sarasota, Florida. He is a graduate of Florida State University (BM), University of Kentucky (MM), and American College of Education (MEd). He was the 2019 Sarasota County Teacher of the Year and finalist for 2020 Florida Teacher of the Year. Shane is passionate about emphasizing that every individual is made in the image of God and deserves the utmost dignity and respect, as well as the patience, kindness, and love that our Savior demonstrated to us. He has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for 12 years. They are blessed with three children–Landon, Levi, and Kate. Any free time in his week is usually spent hanging out with his family. His passions are the 3 B’s—the Bible, blues, and BBQ.
